Welcome to Restaurant Italia - Ferragudo
Restaurant Italia, located in the centre of the piazza of Ferragudo, a pearl of the Algarve right in front of the Atlantic ocean where you can breathe the atmosphere of a small fisherman's village, simple and welcoming, just 2 Km from the city of Portimao.
The restaurant has been mostly refurbished and redesigned to obtain one classically decorated room with a surprising display of original hats from more than 120 countries all around the world; the second dining room has been completely redecorated with style and fantasy making it a unique environment overlooking the wonderful square of Ferragudo; the floor is completed by a terrace that seats more than 50 and where relaxation comes as standard.
The managers Enza and Raffaele have not been in Portugal for long but they have been successful restaurateurs for more than 25 years in Italy, and now they have undertaken the challenge of bringing the true Italian flavours to Portugal with enthusiasm and professionalism.
The kitchen is formed of a completely Italian team, quite unique in Portugal, that give their best every day creating authentically traditional flavours with meat and fish, and of course pasta, spaghetti, penne, gnocchi, tagliatelle, ravioli etc., with a whole range of home-made egg pasta made with imported and accurately selected flours, cooked al dente according to the Italian tradition: a real, unique treat. And our tasty pizzas: more than 30 specialities made with 100% Italian flours, slow-rising and therefore highly digestible.
All the ingredients are guaranteed by the chef Raffaele who personally chooses each produce with care and competence.
Our mission is to let people know and appreciate the real Italian cuisine, which does not mean only pizza and pasta: it is renowned all over the world for its unmistakable flavours.
